For Deborah, acting is an example of "what's old is new again". She always acted as a child and started writing plays at the age of seven. All her early teachers thought she'd end up writing for TV - and, who knows, she may yet do that...

But moving to a different country put an end to her early acting career and she only resumed it in October 2010.

Since then, she has had several roles... playing the director of a women's shelter in a film about violence against women with disability... a disgruntled bank teller... an angry wife with a husband having a midlife crisis...an art historian besotted with a bizarre post-Modern artist in a TV comedy... an expert on women stalkers in a mockumentary... a secretary in a school... a Mother in an innovative feature film... the list keeps being added to!

And in November 2011, she had her first foreign-language part, in German!
